This pumpkin truck driver stopped in front of my real estate office in Gales Ferry yesterday because he was looking for directions to Alice Acres Farm. I told him to take the next left and then thanked him for the photo opportunity.

Gales Ferry Cemetery - Hurlbutt Road
Land was purchased in 1834 for a Burying Ground on Hurlbutt Road. The Gales Ferry Cemetery Association was formed in 1884. The cemetery, accepted to the National Register of Historic Place, contains the graves of many of Ledyard’s earliest families including Nathan Lester.

About Simply Ledyard...
I started blogging here in March of 2005. I moved my blogging activities to a new home about a year later, where I shared my views of real estate and other good stuff about Eastern Connecticut. In the meantime, I turned this place into a photo blog of Ledyard.
