I’ll be leaving shortly to drive to Westport where I’m teaching a class on Social Media. I will be sure to mention how much easier it is today to spread the word of an event like ours than it would have been 10 years age. I’ve seen our Alice Acres Benefit Celebration discussed on Facebook and Twitter and I know the flyer has gone viral via email. I’ve even found a few more Ledyard friends on Facebook as a result. How cool is that?
Maureen Reubelt, who is organizing the Silent Auction efforts, sent me an email this morning. Because so many children want to help, she came up with an idea of an “Adopt a Farm Animal program where kids and people can contribute to the care and feeding of a chicken, sheep or cow at the farm.” I love the idea! Hopefully, Farmer Pete likes the idea. He’s still feeling a bit sheepish about all the attention. (Pun intended). Stay tuned.
How can you help right now?
We are still asking for baked goods to be delivered anytime after 9AM on Saturday Morning. Jo Wood will be coordinating that. jcwood@tvcconnect.net
Maureen Reubelt is still looking for Silent Auction items. mdreubelt@gmail.com 464-2594.
We could also use a few signs. Email me LindaCDavis@comcast.net if you can help! Or call 860-625-4089
Prayers for the weather are also encouraged!
