The name doesn't quite roll off your tongue but Ledyard's IQM2 web portal is going a long way in keeping Ledyard residents informed about Town Government. What started primarily as a place for live streaming of Town Council meetings Is now a robust forum of documents including meeting agendas and minutes. The portal gives viewers the ability to not only follow a Town Council meeting live online, but also review the same documents that councilors are discussing.
Other Town departments are beginning to post their documents and more meeting information of our boards and commissions is becoming available on line. As a bit of a social media geek, I'm excited about our ability to open town meetings beyond the council chambers.
