Ledyard High School Exchange Program

World Map Over the last five years Ledyard and Ledyard High School have hosted over twenty international exchange students through the PAX Program of Academic Exchange. This wonderful, non-profit  program has raised the interest of our community to international issues, and heightened our own students’ interest in learning more about the world beyond our shores.

This program is an example of citizen diplomacy that each of us can be part of.  The US Department of State encourages citizens to invite international students into their homes, to help bring nations closer together through mutual understanding and appreciation.

I encourage each of you to consider hosting an exchange student in your home for the coming year. These students bring their own spending money, and own insurance and would be thrilled to come to our lovely corner of New England.

Please visit the PAX website. You may contact the Regional Director for Connecticut in the PAX National Office at 800-555-6211, ext 322. Her name is Carol Craig, and she has visited Ledyard multiple times, and knows what a great environment it is for the PAX students.
