Ledyard Emergency Notification System

This week was the first real test of Everbridge, Ledyard’s new “opt-in” emergency notification system. When an accident forced the closure of a section of Route 12 for most of the day, local residents who had opted into the system, were alerted about the closure. I admit that seeing a call coming in from “Ledyard Police” on my home phone at 6:30AM was a bit unnerving but now I know what to expect.

Be sure to Sign On to Everbridge, register your location, and select your preferences for how you wish to be notified. You can even be notified by text!  And remember that if your caller ID reads “Ledyard Police”, it is most likely a notification from the emergency system.
