Could you and your family consider a short term welcome for Yaofang? He is a very smart young man from Quigdao/Shandong, Ledyard's Sister City. He would like to spend an academic year in Ledyard, and needs a starter family, since his proposed family had to cancel. Can you step forward to help this boy achieve his dream of coming to the United States, and staying in Ledyard?
Yaofang is 16 years old, and brings his own insurance and spending money. He speaks English quite well, and he is an A student. It would be wonderful for the Ledyard High School students to get to know him, and learn more about their Sister City and life in China, as well.
Welcome families are asked to provide a kind welcoming environment, a bed, a quiet place to study, and family meals. A family is asked to welcome Yaofang for 4-6 weeks while a permanent family is located.
