Ledyard Real Estate Quick Stats are published every two weeks and offer a simple look at Ledyard Real Estate. Inventory remains low but there has been a jump from 66 active listings to 80 active listings in the past two weeks. Pending sales are steady but August is a notoriously quiet month. Low inventory is generally a predictor of rising prices but Ledyard has seen only a slight uptick to date over last year's $225,500 median sales price.
Wednesday would have been the last day for the Loko Yoko Food Truck at the Ledyard Farmers' Market. Sadly due to inclement weather, we didn't get to say goodbye. Yoko Loko were only able to sign up for the first half of the season due to their work schedules. Yes, these hard working guys work a full time job in addition to the food truck! Market volunteers and visitors became really fond of the food and personable crew of Yoko Loko. We are going to miss them and hope to visit them in Gales Ferry on Saturdays at Kartway again real soon! They go before Planning and Zoning with their Site Plan on August 9th. Yes, you need a site plan to park a food truck in Ledyard.

Our donation boxes are located at Ledyard Town Hall, Village Market Checkout, Holmberg Orchards, Gales Ferry Landing, Parke's Place and Holdridge Farm and Garden. During Farmers'Market Season, you can leave your donations in the donation bin at the Market Tent. You can also bring your donations directly to the pantry (across from Valentino's) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 9-11 and Thursday from 4-6.

Minutes and meeting agendas of the Ledyard Town Council and other Ledyard Committee and Commissions can be accessed by going to the meeting portal. Select all meeting groups on the pull down menu on the left or just the meeting group you are interested in. Members of the public are welcome to attend all meetings except those very few held in executive session. Resident and Property Owners are invited to comment at the start of most regular meetings but are limited to 3 minutes at the Town Council meeting.

I've been blogging here at Simply Ledyard since 2005, well before the time that Facebook, Instagram and Twitter became an easy way to reach the Ledyard Community. I've never been a prolific blogger as far as number of words in a post. I personally find Facebook an easier way to share information quickly especially in a group. As a result, I've been spending less time here and I've struggled with actually abandoning the whole blog idea.
For quite awhile, I've been intrigued with the idea of making this blog site more of a Ledyard Resource. I've found the biggest drawback with my Ledyard Community Forum group on Facebook is with over 5000 members the information moves quickly down the newsfeed and as much as I try, people don't or won't use the search feature.
Over the next few weeks, I will be doing some updating and work on the resource idea. Hopefully we both will like the end result. - Linda
