Occasionally I see a shed that catches my eye and I add the photo into my blog’s Ledyard Shed Category. This may be one of my favorite sheds in Ledyard and I photographed it in the past. The Gallimore’s were kind enough to let me use their own photo of the winter version of it. I think the snow complements it quite nicely.
Regular readers of this blog know that I love the creativity I see in some of the sheds in the Ledyard area. Across the pond, readers of “The Telegraph” are asked each year to submit photos for the publication’s Shed of the Year Contest. As they put it, they get a “shedload” of entries. You’ll find this year’s entries as well as previous year winners at their readers’ sheds website.
The photo below was taken at a listing of mine on Colonel Ledyard Highway. It was the first shed I’ve ever seen with a porch swing!
Two weeks ago on Ledyard Photo Friday, I posted some photos of interesting sheds of Ledyard. I asked my readers “Do you have a photo worthy shed that I could add to my collection?”
I’m so glad I asked that question! It gave me the opportunity to meet the very nice Gallimore’s at their Ledyard home on Hickory Drive and take a tour of their small park like backyard. It was complete with gardens, birdfeeders, a gazebo, a scarecrow, and of course the sheds, which are now part of my Sheds of Ledyard collection!
Due to the never ending rain this week, it was a tough one for trying to take photos of some of my new Ledyard homes for sale. While I was out shooting, it occurred to me how much I enjoy seeing backyard sheds. Some shed owners in Ledyard are pretty creative when it comes to design and setting. Do you have a photo worthy shed that I could add to my collection?
P.S. Yes, shed #2 is a little chicken coop.
