Ledyard Up-Down Sawmill – The mill is now closed for spring but will reopen for visitors in October. Follow their website for details. The mill volunteers hosted WTNH Channel 8 for a visit to the mill in May.  See the report and video by Kelvin Higgins.

The vote on the Budget Referendum was 416-185. The number of eligible voters who cast ballots was very low and quite disappointing.

Retire your American Flags by dropping them off in the collection box at the Ledyard Town Hall. Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held June 14 at 9:00 AM at the American Legion Post 128, 16 York Ave., Niantic, CT

Renter’s Rebate Program - Attention Seniors 65+ and Totally Disabled Residents in Ledyard.  State law provides a reimbursement program for Connecticut renters who are elderly or totally disabled, and whose incomes do not exceed certain limits. Persons renting an apartment or room, or living in cooperative housing or a mobile home may be eligible for this program. The renters’ rebate amount is based on a graduated income scale and the amount of rent and utility payments (excluding telephone) made in 2014. Applications may be made by appointment only.
